Irrigation system resulting in safer agricultural production for 250 children in local village orphanage
The Bharat Sevashram Sangha, a pioneer charitable organization established in 1917, was founded by the great illustrious patriot saint Acharya Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj.
Nearly 500 Monks and Brahamacharis are running hundreds of charitable dispensaries, Hospitals, Mobile Medical Units, Ambulances, Patient homes, Cancer & Leprosy Hospitals, Tribal Welfare centres, Free residential education for nearly 5000 students ( in collaboration with Govt. of India) in states of Jharkhand, Nagaland, Assam, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal etc. They run many Schools & Technical institutes, Women empowerment centres, Youth welfare centres etc. besides Relief work during hours of natural calamities of flood, famine, earthquake in any part of country.
Borouge Water for the World Project
In a place called Muluk in the state of West Bengal, at one of their Centres, BSS have big land, part of which they use for growing paddy, vegetables and fruits for consumption by orphan students, poor villagers and monks. We wanted to increase their irrigated land for increasing their agri production which will help local population.
With help of one of our customers Hallmark Aquaequipments, 20 acres land was identified. Hallmark designed and installed water pipelines, sprinkler and other irrigation systems for producing Horticultural products and vegetables for the orphanage where about 250 students from poor families stay free of cost and get education.

Hallmark Aquaequipmets, Kolkata an expert designer and manufacturer of Irrigation systems helped us to put up the system according to our budget. 20 acres land were identified. Hallmark designed the system, manufactured the pipes and fittings out of 3 tonnes of our product HE3490LS, carried out Civil work, installed water pipelines, sprinklers and other irrigation systems in close coordination with Bharat Sevashram /Borouge.
Completion of the Project
The project was completed in January 2024 and the system is working satisfactorily. 20 acres of additional land have come under irrigation which will help the BSS monks, students in the orphanage and the poor local villagers.
Borouge has contributed for a good humanitarian cause bringing smiles to local people. The system will last for 50-100 years resulting in water savings, maintaining soil health and taking care of food security
