Stockholm World Water Week 2015
The annual World Water Week is held in Stockholm from August 23 – 28, 2015. This year marks the 25th anniversary of both the Week and the Stockholm Water Prize.
The 2015 theme is “Water for Development”. The ongoing year is the target year for achieving the Millennium Development Goals. Despite some positive progress, the challenge remains and requires new actions from the global community, such as establishing a new set of Sustainable Development Goals. The event provides a platform for individuals and collaborating organizations from around the world to network, reflect and seek for practical solutions.
World Water Week is organized and hosted by Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). Over 160 events and 8 workshops will cover some of the issues related to the theme “Water for Development”. Last year over 3,000 individuals and 270 organizations participated.
